ECCC YOPP SiteMIP data available

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has developed the Canadian Arctic Prediction System (CAPS). CAPS has been runned in operation at the Canadian Meteorological Service in experimental mode since February 2018. Prior to the 28th of June 2018 (included), CAPS was runned uncoupled, whereas since the 29th of June 2018 (included), CAPS was coupled with the Canadian Regional Ice and Ocean Prediction system (RIOPS).

ECMWF IFS YOPP SiteMIP data available

ECMWF IFS for YOPP supersites are now available at http://thredds.met.no/thredds/catalog/alertness/YOPP_supersite/ifs-ecmwf.... Preparation of discovery metadata for inclusion in the YOPP Data Portal is in progress. ECMWF is not responsible for any use that may be made of the YOPPsiteMIP dataset.

Meteo-France data for the YOPPsiteMIP SH

Meteo-France has extracted ARPEGE data over the Southern Hemisphere YOPP supersites. These data are now available on the ftp site ftp.umr-cnrm.fr (user: yopp / password: Arpege). Change working directory to YOPP-SH where NetCdf-MIP contains the output for the supersites using the exact  same format as used for the YOPP-NH super site (now available on the YOPP Data Portal). In addition 3D fields are output in a GRIB format (under YOPP-SH/3DFIELDS) as well. Inclusion of the SH data as NetCDF/CF in the YOPP Data portal is currently in progress.
