Information on datasets generated in the context of the Polar Amplification Model intercomparison Project (PAMIP) is currently under ingestion in the data catalogue. Meteo-France has a FTP site with all YOPPSiteMIP data produced. Further information is provided in the attached PDF document. These data will eventually be included in the YOPP data catalogue, but in the mean time they are also available directly from the FTP site.

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has committed data from the Navy Earth System Prediction Capability (Navy‐ESPC) to YOPPSiteMIP datasets. the data are directly available at https://thredds.met.no/thredds/catalog/alertness/YOPP_supersite/navy-es… and addition of discovery metadata to the YOPP Data catalogue is in progress.

Detailed information on the YOPP SiteMIP activity is available at https://www.polarprediction.net/key-yopp-activities/yoppsitemip/. The focus of this information is how to provide YOPP SiteMIP data, observations and model output, to the YOPP data portal. These data will be hosted by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and served through a THREDDS Data Server enabling OPeNDAP access to the data.

MET Norway and the YOPP International Coordination Office are publishing the first of a series of video tutorials on how data can be searched in the YOPP Data Portal. YOPP maintains this metadata portal as an overview archive for Arctic and Antarctic data generated during the Year of Polar Prediction. The community is invited to find YOPP data from a specific area or time to use for their various purposes.

First week of July the search interface and results tabulation was updated. The search interfaces has received

• improved support in the map search (including map projections),
• the list of institutions is made more manageable,
• all fileds are expanded by default but can be collapsed by the user,

results tabulation now includes

• a map presentation of location of datasets
• improved visualisation of time series which now includes dynamic plotting (including readout of values)
• improved data dump to CSV

The YOPP Guidance for Data Centres manual has been updated. The updated manual is available at here. Specific elements that are updated include how to link datasets hosted external to the YOPP data portal to the catalogue. Options to connect datasets that are not served through discovery metadata interoperability interfaces are described.

DWD ICON data are now added to the catalogue of YOPPSiteMIP datasets.
